Kay Shepherd
Choreographer
trained at Laine Theatre Arts. Her work includes: The Bartered Bride (RCM); Ladies Down Under (Hull Truck Theatre Company); Bouncers, Jack and the Beanstalk, Humpty Dumpty, Dick Turpin, Sinbad the Sailor, Three Men in a Boat (York Theatre Royal); A Night at the Chinese Opera and The Baker's Wife (RAM); Putting It Together (Library Theatre, Manchester); Showcase 2009 (National Opera Studio); Orpheus at the Opera (Orpheus Trust at the Linbury Studio); Oklahoma! for the NYMT (Peacock Theatre/Waterfront Hall, Belfast/Cardiff International Festival of Music Theatre). Other credits include: the highly acclaimed West End production of Bugsy Malone; Whistle Down the Wind (Sadler's Wells/Edinburgh Festival Theatre/ WYP); Oliver! (Edinburgh Festival Fringe); The Wizard of Oz (Theatre Royal Bath/Octagon Theatre, Yeovil); also direction for Creation by Richard Taylor, which toured English and Scottish cathedrals; and choreography for The Palace in the Sky (ENO Baylis). She has also taught at many schools including: the Royal Ballet School and the Royal Academy of Dance. For Opera North: Ruddigore.
